The new level of golf enjoyment - the completely renovated 18-hole Championship Coures Rinn! After 2 years of complete renovation, the Rinn Championship Course will reopen in 2024. Attractive fairways, spectacular tees, a breathtaking backdrop with a view of the Nordkette - the 18-hole course in Rinn presents itself in a new, superlative design. Golf courses designed to be sportily challenging adapt more than ever to the unique character of the terrain. Perfectly modeled fairways and sophisticated water hazards with the highlight of the island green on the 12th make the round a very special experience.
A short par 4 to start. Use a driver or 3-wood to place the ball on the left half of the fairway as the fairway slopes slightly to the right. For the second shot, use a short iron depending on the distance. The green is guarded on the left by a raised bunker. Attention: The green is undulating and slopes slightly downhill from the left side to the right side. If you hit the green in regulation, a par is not guaranteed.
Tee off with diver or 3-wood. The perfect shot goes over the path and lands at the level of the first right bunker on the fairway about 150 meters from the green. The fairway slopes "valley-like" from both sides towards the middle. A medium iron for the second shot. The green is guarded by a bunker on the right front and one on the left. The green slopes from back to front.
The first par 3 of the course. Depending on the flag position, you should consider an 8-iron to 6-iron. A pond runs along the elongated green on the right side. A fade is the wrong decision on this hole. It's better to play a little to the left of the green and save par with a chip. The green itself slopes from back to front and slightly towards the water.
The hardest hole on the course is this long par 4. Hit with a driver from the elevated plateau-shaped tees. Depending on the location, hit the raised green with a medium iron. The large, undulating green is guarded by a bunker on the left front. With a successful chip a par is possible.
Hit with a long iron or hybrid. Aim for the right side of the fairway as it slopes to the left and could result in the ball ending up in one of the two bunkers. For the second shot, use a short iron. But be careful, the second shot goes uphill and over a pond, so take at least one more iron. The green slopes downhill from back to front.
Hit from the elevated tees with a driver or 3-wood. Stay a little to the right to avoid ending up in one of the bunkers along the fairway. The second shot should be played precisely in the middle of the fairway with a long iron so as not to end up in the next bunker on the left or hit the stone wall on the right. With a short iron onto the green guarded by a bunker on the left side. The green is cambered and not easy to putt on.
After a short climb you reach the eighth tee. The fairway runs downhill from half way. Hit with a 3-wood or hybrid and aim for the left side of the fairway to avoid landing in the bunker on the right or the slope on the right. For the second shot, use a shorter iron depending on the distance. It is better to leave the ball a little too short as it can roll through the hill onto the green.
On the 9th hole you will find a par 5 that is not easy to play. For the first shot, use the driver or a 3-wood. Place the ball in the middle of the fairway. The second shot goes over a small stream. Stay a little to the right as the fairway becomes narrow. It's better to play a little to the right into the slope than to end up in the forest on the left (water hazard). Hit the third shot with a short iron. Two putts and you complete the first nine holes with a par.
You have now reached the highest point of the golfcourse. For the tee shot, use the driver to get safely over the water hazard. Align slightly to the left. A medium iron is best suited for the second shot. The fairway slopes down towards the green and the ball will roll on the large green if the shot is too short.
The 11th hole is a par 5 where it is better to stay a little left on the first two hits. Hit the ravine with the driver and then continue with a three-wood or hybrid. After two good shots you are about 120 meters from the green. Now use a short iron to hit the slightly raised green, which is protected by a bunker on the right. Two putts and par is done.
Enjoy the tee shot on the twelfth hole. It is the signature hole of our golf course. Hit the driver or a 3-wood off the tee towards the left bunker. The small lake on the left doesn't really come into play. After a good tee shot, you will see the island green, which you can hit with a short iron depending on the distance. If you play the ball into the water in front of the green, there is a dropping zone in front of the lake. If the ball lands on the green with your second shot and the putt falls, you could be looking forward to a birdy.
Hole 13 is a dogleg par 4 to the right. You need a good drive from the elevated tees to be able to hit the green with your second shot. Keep slightly left as the hill on the right is marked Out. For the second shot, use a long iron to reach the green. There is often a bit of a headwind on the hole - so it's better to take one ironnumber more. The green hangs slightly from the back to the front.
The green is well guarded by bunkers to the left and behind. The green is bordered at the front with a beautiful natural stone wall. It's better to take one more iron to avoid ending up in the creek in front of the green. An 8 iron from the yellow or red tee onto the green and there's not much in the way of a birdy.
The 15th hole is a short par 4 slightly uphill. Tee off with a of wood. Halfway in the landing zone there is a pond on the left side of the fairway. After a good tee shot, hit the green with a short iron. The green has a large bunker on the front left side, so depending on the position of the flag, it is better to use one more iron.
One of the most beautiful par 3s on the golf course. Enjoy the beautiful view of the Nordkette opposite before you tee off. The hole goes slightly downhill. On the left side of the green there is a lake and in the front right there is a tree, which comes into play depending on the position of the flag. A shorter iron from the tee on the green, two putts and par is perfect.
The last par 5 on the course. It's a dogleg to the left. Using a wood or long iron, place your tee shot as close to the bend in the fairway as possible. For the second shot use a hybrid or a wood. Stay slightly to the right as the fairway slopes slightly to the left. After two good shots, a short iron is usually enough to hit the green. The green hangs from back to front and slightly from left to right.
The last hole on the course is a par 3, which goes slightly uphill. Hit the green with a short iron. It's better to play on the safe right side of the green. The left side of the fairway and green is marked Out. After the last putt, look forward to our club terrace and enjoy our gastronomy.
